CX2 has been dual selected for Design Reference Mission 3 (Frontier Dominance - See Farther, Last Longer, Stay Hidden) under the Defense Innovation Unit’s Project G.I., advancing both its Wraith airborne electronic warfare platform, and a second, non-public product, following successful live demonstrations with U.S. Army units. The selection positions both products for immediate procurement, adoption and use in INDOPACOM.
DRM 3 sought technologies enabling dispersed formations to detect farther, sustain longer, and remain undetected in contested environments, specifically across the electromagnetic spectrum. Wraith addresses this gap by geolocating hostile emitters in GPS-denied environments, giving forward-deployed units real-time visibility into the RF spectrum and targeting data associated with it. CX2’s second winning product, which has not been publicly released, addresses detection in contested environments.
“The INDOPACOM operating environment requires systems that can operate at the tactical edge at scale,” said Porter Smith, Chief Strategy Officer at CX2. “Wraith gives dispersed units the ability to see the invisible battlefield and act on it.”

The DRM 3 dual selection follows CX2’s previous down-select for Project G.I.’s DRM 2 with Vadris, an RF-seeking counter-UAS payload. Together, Wraith and Vadris enable ground forces to detect, locate, and engage threats across the electromagnetic spectrum.
CX2 is a next-generation defense technology company securing spectrum dominance for the United States and its allies. We build AI-enabled hardware and software platforms to detect, disrupt, and defend the electromagnetic spectrum across land, air, sea, and space.
